Buster is just a free spirit who is horrified by the rigidity and lack of creativity in the military. Either that or he thought they were a herd of guidance counselors?

Guidance counselors...One set told me all the wonderful places I should go to college. Needless to say, my parents disagreed. Another set tried to use me as a test subject because apparently they had never met someone who stuttered. They wanted to experiment on me. I don't like gguidance counselors.

You know, while Kansas is in a book-banning frenzy, they might think about banning the Bible--that thing's full of violence and incest. Maybe they could just set fire to all the libraries and dance around the flames. Except that dancing is evil, so they'd have to do something else. I wonder: can the rest of us gang up and force a secession? I'd totally be on that steering committee.

Already I can see the quality of science degrading. Look at this excerpt from the hearing:

"Can you tell us, sir, how old you believe the Earth is?" the lawyer, Pedro Irigonegaray, asked William Harris, a chemist who helped draft the proposed changes to the standards.

"I don't know," Harris replied. "Duh, I think it's probably really old."

Okay, I added the "duh". But give me a break! What is wrong with people? I hope I'm never injured in Kansas, because I'm not all that fond of leeches.
